MARC KINDERMAN
Born and raised a Philadelphian with an unhappy appetite for scrapple, I still remember Charles Barkley telling me 100 thousand dollars was “four hands of blackjack,” and getting invited onto B.B. King’s bus to do an interview. My documentary work has put me in the middle of the crowd, whether it’s hearing Kansas fans “Rock-Chalk-Jayhawk” their way through Allen Field House, Fenway go crazy for Pedro Martinez, or the crowd go nuts for one of the first Zydeco nights post-Katrina at Rock-N-Bowl. I’ve been able to get close to families and hear what drove athletes to greatness, like Sugar Ray Robinson’s widow, Bobby Orr’s father, or the sons of the late Pete Maravich. I was honored to find out what Muhammad Ali meant to stars like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Sidney Poitier and James Earl Jones and hear them use the words of “The Greatest”. I’ve been able to bring to life transformative moments in sport – getting stories from players past and present while colorizing 1958’s “Greatest Game Ever Played” NFL Championship, and making viewers feel the drama of College World Series game winning hits from Warren Morris and Whit Merrifield. I enjoy going to New Orleans and to concerts, and combining those things whenever possible.

SCOTT HENRY
A random trip to a Penn State field hockey game — the student station’s microphone & recorder in tow — eventually led to Scott’s employment with the New York Yankees and then ESPN, where the passion for layered, emotion-charged storytelling was born. That attraction is based on the innate sense that this particular story is an important piece within the jigsaw puzzle of ‘life.’ Two projects in particular have been Scott’s foundation—the opportunity to take 2 former POWs back to the Philippines for an emotional return to the sites of their internment camps, and doing the first documentary on Adam Taliaferro’s journey from the initial diagnosis of ‘lifelong paraplegic’ to walking (even jogging) as he led his team out of the tunnel 11 months later. His winding road has provided him the opportunity to inspect JJ Watt’s college life; dive deep into the intricate lives of legends such as Tom Brady, Daniel Cormier, Coach K, Mariano Rivera, Dan Gable, Floyd Mayweather Jr, and Bob Knight; and be embedded with the Notre Dame and Army football teams, and a prison ministry softball team for vérité doc projects. Scott is particularly drawn to holding a magnifying glass over some of the most fabled moments in history, through vehicles such as ESPN anniversary programming and The B1G Moment doc series.
